Pallets Per Head of Population

However, it is estimated by the industry in Europe that more than three billion timber pallets are in circulation in the European Union.
“Over the pond” in the USA the estimate is 2,000,000,000. This is the highest rate of pallets per head of population in the world (well over 90% are wood).
Perhaps one can see a relationship between national industrial productivity and efficiency in materials handling that is directly assisted by the simple but vital flat pallet and associated equipment.
